THERE are four uncapped players in the Irish hockey squad for the four nations tournament in Terrassa on May 18th-20th. They are the Avoca goalkeeper Peter Darley and three attackers, Devon Donnelly and Jamie McBride of Pembroke Wanderers (going to Prague a week later), and a fresh recruit Mark Irwin of Instonians. Also included is the once capped Galahad Goulet as well as Errol Lutton (seven appearances).
The remaining 10 members of the party figured in last summer's European Championship side, from which Martin Sloan, Jimmy Kirkwood and Ger Burns have retired while a number of other players are unavailable for the Spanish trip.
