LEICESTER, with seven regular first teamers injured or rested, were still two good for London Irish in the Courage League last night. The forwards stormed off from the whistle with their first rolling maul pushing the London Irish pack back 40 metres with Will Johnson claiming the touchdown and Rob Liley converting.

A second Leicester try came from forward pressure but then out half Liley scored from a tapped penalty which he converted. Irish responded with a penalty from David Humphreys and a try from centre Rob Henderson which Humphreys converted to make the half time score 17-10 to Leicester.

There were further Leicester tries from Aadel Kardooni, Liley, Greg Austin and the inevitable penalty try. Liley, who notched 26 points, converted two and slotted over, a couple of penalties.
