Padraig Harrington and Paul McGinley will travel to New Zealand to defend their World Cup of Golf title in November. At least five of the top 10 players in Europe will play in the event at the new Gulf Harbour Country Club, north of Wellington, starting on November 19th. Among those confirmed are Nick Faldo of England, up-and coming Dane Thomas Bjorn, Scots Colin Montgomerie and Andrew Coltart and Ian Woosnam of Wales.
The United States, who won the event for four years in a row from 1992, are expected to name their team late next week. Faldo will be partnered by Irish Open winner David Carter, while Mark McNulty and Tony Johnstone make up the strong Zimbabwean team.
