Group A: Girondins Bordeaux boosted their qualifying hopes with a 2-1 victory at CFR Cluj last night.
Yoann Gourcuff put the French team in front after six minutes before Dani headed Cluj level three minutes later. Brazilian Wendel restored Bordeaux's lead from a 19-metre free-kick in the 38th minute.
Group B:Julio Cruz headed in 10 minutes from time to spare defender Nicolas Burdisso's blushes and give Inter Milan a 3-3 draw at Anorthosis Famagusta.
Mario Balotelli and Marco Materazzi twice put Inter ahead in the first half but poor headers from Burdisso and Esteban Cambiasso allowed Cedric Bardon and Georgios Panagi to twice equalise.
Argentina defender Burdisso then got in another muddle with a header and Nikolaos Frousos fired home five minutes after the break before Inter, who had chances to win, levelled.
Panathinaikos revived their hopes of a knock-out place when a ruthless second-half display earned them a 3-0 win away to Werder Bremen.
Group C:Sporting earned a place in the last 16 of the Champions League with a nervy 1-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk.
Group D:Former European champions Olympique Marseille secured their first points in this season's Champions League campaign by crushing PSV Eindhoven 3-0 on a soggy pitch last night.
