PAUL INCE made a triumphant return to Old Trafford last night as Inter Milan completed a pre-season friendly double over Manchester United.

Inter had won 3-0 in the San Siro two weeks ago, and Ivan Zamorano's second half header was enough to give them another success in the return.

The matches have been agreed as part of Ince's transfer to Italy.

United's manager, Alex Ferguson, gave his five foreign summer signings a run out. Czech Republic star Karel Poborsky and Dutch international Jordi Cruyff sparkled for United in the first half, but Inter were in control after the break.

The evening began on a nostalgic note, with former United captain, Steve Bruce, now with Birmingham, returning to Old Trafford for the official presentation of the Premiership trophy.
