John Paul Kinsella (Weight: lightfly; Club: St Fergal's, Bray; Age: 19) - Won National junior and intermediate titles before lifting the senior crown in February.

Liam Cunningham (Fly; Saints, Belfast; 24) - Won first of three national senior titles in 1997. Commonwealth Games silver medal winner 1998.

Damien McKenna (Bantam; Holy Family, Drogheda; 26) - Has already represented Ireland at World and European senior championships since winning his first national title five years ago.

John Paul Campbell (Feather; St Patrick's, South Meath; 21) - Winner of first senior title this year following notable success at juvenile and junior level.

Noel Monteith (Light; Dockers Belfast; 25) - Won first national senior title this year.

Michael Kelly (Light welter; Dealgan and Army; 25) - World military champion in 1999 at which he was voted, best technical boxer.

James Moore (Welter; Arklow; 22) - Ousted Neil Gough to reverse the previous years decision in this year's national final.

Michael Roche (Light middle; Sunnyside, Cork; 29) - Four times national senior champion since 1997. Ireland's only qualifier for the Sydney Olympics.

Ken Egan (Middle; Neilstown, Dublin; 19) - Bronze medal winner European Cadet championships in Latvia 1998. Junior and intermediate national champion before winning his first senior title in February.

Alan Reynolds (Light heavy; St Joseph's, Sligo; 23) - One of two brothers involved in the championships. Current senior champion. National intermediate champion 1999.

Stephen Reynolds (Heavy; St Joseph's, Sligo; 27) - Super heavy national champion in 1999.

Eanna Falvey (Super heavy; St Colman's, Cork; 24) - A medical doctor and three times British and Irish Universities champion. Called up to replace the injured John Kinsella, the reigning champion.
