PLEASURE SHARED made an immediate impact over fences when landing the Grade Two Worcester Novices' Chase at Worcester yesterday.

Despite belly flopping on landing at the first, Philip Hobbs' charge excelled on his first venture over the big obstacles having been one of last term's leading novice staying hurdlers.

Chris Maude sent the winner to the front three out and the pair ran on gamely to hold the late rally of Around The Gale on the run to the line for a neck verdict.

Tony McCoy, on the deck aboard Castlekellyleader in the feature event, bounced back to complete a 64 to 1 treble when Martin Pipe's Indrapura defied top weight in the Levy Board Novices' Handicap Hurdle to give the trainer's racing club their 200th winner.

McCoy, the season's leading rider, now needs only 11 winners to beat Peter Scudamore's record for the fastest century following earlier victories on Teinein and Cherrynut.

Tim Forster's Teinein took the Plumb Center Handicap Hurdle from Mouse Bird and the Ludlow handler may delay the winner's debut over fences in order to take in another hurdle as the five year old appears well handicapped.

Cherrynut defeated the David Nicholson trained pair Billygoat Gruff and King Lucifer in the three runner Dunley Chase after playing a game of cat and mouse with the other due.

However, Nicholson was "chuffed" with Billygoat Gruff's performance and declared him a definite for the Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury later this month for which he remains 8 to 1 third favourite with Corals.

Nicholson had enjoyed better fortune earlier after Mighty Moss, who contested top class bumpers last term, made an easy winning bow over timber in the Astley Novices' Hurdle under owner Ken Hutsby's son Fred.

The winner had 11 lengths to spare over Denham Hill and Nicholson stated his obvious target for the season would be the Sun Alliance Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.

Porphyirios came from last to first to land the Talfab Trophy Handicap Chase on his first run over fences, beating Reeshlock by a length and a quarter despite jockey Carl Llewellyn losing an iron in the closing stages.

. Tim Forster yesterday played down the chance of Dublin Flyer repeating last year's victory in the renamed Murphy's Gold Cup at Cheltenham.

The trainer's representative is 6 to 1 third favourite with Ladbrokes and William Hill to defy top weight of 12st in Saturday's £60,000 added contest.

But Forster said: "I am not being pessimistic but he has got too much weight as he has got to give good horses around 2st."
