International round-up: Germany 0 Argentina 1:GONZALO Higuain scored a stunning goal to give Diego Maradona's Argentina a morale-boosting 1-0 win away to a lacklustre Germany in a World Cup warm-up last night.

Higuain clipped the ball over Rene Adler when the German goalkeeper rushed out of his goal and then scored from 30 metres to give Maradona arguably the most impressive win in his turbulent 18 months as coach.

ALBANIA opened the scoring in the 25th minute when Ervin Skela sent a magnificent free-kick past Maik Taylor after George McCartney had been hauled back for a challenge on Bogdani. SCOTT BROWN was the goal hero as Craig Levein claimed a win in his first game as Scotland manager.

The Celtic skipper fired Scotland into an unlikely lead in the 62nd minute. Lee Wallace’s cross from the left found Barry Robson and he nodded into the path of Brown to rifle a left-foot shot into the net.

Kris Boyd ended his self-imposed international exile when he came on as a substitute for his Rangers team-mate Kenny Miller.

BOLTON striker Johan Elmander stunned Wales with a brilliant winner for Sweden in last night international friendly in Swansea.

Elmander, who has scored just twice in the Premier League this season, showed quality rarely seen at the Reebok Stadium with a fine strike on the stroke of half-time. Wales lacked sparkle early on but their overall efforts offered encouragement for the Euro 2012 qualifiers next season.
