CENTURY MAKER Graeme Hick got England back on track in Peshawar yesterday during a 49 run win over Holland.
Hick's undefeated 104, sealed with a final over six and supported by a slick 89 from Graham Thorpe, put the smile back on skipper Mike Atherton's face - even if his strike bowlers did their best to wipe it straight back off again.
Holland, facing a daunting 279 for four, won more friends with a scintillating start and end to their reply of 230 for six, Klaas van Noortwijk coming away with a 64 and 18 year old Rotterdam schoolboy Bas Zuiderent 54.
Hick, however, with 85 in his previous World Cup start, took the match honours for the second time, just ahead of Thorpe, the duo ensuring England a second win after an opening defeat to the New Zealanders.
