DERRY CITY manager, Felix Healy, has not resigned despite widespread speculation to the contrary.

When contacted last night the Derry boss admitted that he had been considering his future with the club for a number of months but insisted that he would remain at the Brandywell until the conclusion of the current season at least.

Healy would only state: "It is true that I have been considering my position as manager of Derry City Football Club. That was purely down to personal reasons, nothing to do with football or, indeed, Derry City FC.

"I will be remaining as manager of Derry for the foreseeable future. Hopefully this statement will put an end to the widespread rumour and speculation which has been circulating since last weekend."
