Bernard Barmasi v Christopher Koskei

Kenya have made the men's 3,000 metres steeplechase all their own in every major race of the decade. This time, Bernard Barmasi (bronze medallist in Athens) leads the way as current world record holder and one of four athletes left in the £1 million Golden League this summer. However, his compatriot Christopher Koskei may just get the better of him this time. The IAAF are still looking into the complications of the last Golden League in Zurich, where Koskei deliberately slowed up to allow Barmasi to maintain his unbeaten streak.

There certainly won't be much between the two, but Barmasi's interests may lie with the money this season. A case, perhaps, of you win here, and I win there?
