THREE tries by Mathew Britton helped steer Clongowes Wood College into the quarter finals of the Leinster Schools' Junior Cup at North Kildare yesterday.

Clongowes played into a galeforce wind for the opening half and led 7-0 at the break after a try by David Hickey was converted by centre Niall Morgan.

Britton crossed the line three times after the restart and fullback Stephen McGee also managed a try. Morgan added two conversions to complete a one sided game.
