Germany's Olympic swimming hero Dagmar Hase, who retired after the summer Games, yesterday announced her decision to continue her career until Sydney in 2000.

Hase, who won three silver medals and a bronze at Atlanta as well as an Olympic gold at Barcelona in 1992, will compete in Perth, Australia and in January 1998 over 200m freestyle at the world championships.
