Finn Harps hope to complete the signing of former UCD and Shamrock Rovers player Paul Cullen from Ards by the end of the week. Cullen, who can play wide in midfield or up front, and who represented Ireland at the 1991 World Student Games, is expected to be a Harps player in time for Friday's trip to Bohemians.
Harps manager Charlie McGeever has also had talks with Declan Boyle who was released by Derry City over the weekend. The former Celtic player has said that he wished to take a break from the game before deciding on his future.
St Patrick's Athletic, meanwhile, will be without striker Martin Reilly for anything between two and six weeks after he tore ankle ligaments in Friday night's game against Derry.
