MUNSTER SCHOOL'S SENIOR CUP SEMI-FINALS/Rockwell College 12 Castletroy College 10:ROCKWELL COLLEGE qualified for the final in the most dramatic manner at Clanwilliam yesterday
With the last kick of the game, 11 minutes into stoppage time, JJ Hanrahan dropped a goal that broke the hearts of a Castletroy side who must have thought they had done enough when outhalf Pádraig Quinn got in for the only try and fullback Pádraig O’Connor landed the tough conversion with three minutes left.
The biggest delay in the second half came when referee Dermot Moloney suffered a calf strain and had to be replaced by Olly Hodges.
Castletroy got off to the best start when O’Connor landed a penalty after only five minutes.
Six minutes later Hanrahan had Rockwell level.
