HALLING, ridden by Frankie Dettori, stormed back to form to win the Group One Prix d'Ispahan at Longchamp yesterday. The one time handicapper, turned into Group One performer, had his task made easier by the absence of the Aga Khan's fast improving Valanour - taken out because of the rain drenched ground.
Always in command, the Godolphin owned horse beat Gunboat Diplomacy by one and a half lengths with Andre Fabre's Vetheuil and Paul Cole's Montjoy (Richard Quinn) trailing in last of the four runners.
Simon Crisford, representing Godolphin, said: "He's a super horse and has won three Group Ones now. He will now either go for the Prince of Wales Stakes at Royal Ascot or fry to repeat his win in last year's Coral Eclipse at Sandown.
