Norway will be hoping that Tore Andre Flo can end a long barren run when they go in search of the win at Arnhem which would qualify them for the quarter-finals. Flo hasn't scored at international level since last October, but he believes he is gradually regaining the touch which persuaded Chelsea to invest so heavily in him. "There is still a lot more improvement to be made but I think I'm gradually getting there," said the gangling striker who showed his anger when being replaced by John Carew in the second half of the win over Spain. A draw could be good enough to earn them a place in the knockout stages of the championship, but, ominously, they must again plan without Henning Berg and Vegard Heggem, but Steffen Iversen is expected to play in spite of a broken nose.

Slovenia delighted their supporters by opening up a 3-0 lead over Yugoslavia, only to fall apart in the second half. Subsequently, they made Spain work hard for their victory, but in spite of the elegant skills of Zatko Zahovic in midfield, it may be asking too much of them to produce another stirring stand against the odds.
