Poor old Dominic Foley, the former Irish under-21 international who joined Notts County on a month's loan from Wolves last week. He nearly gave himself heart failure on Tuesday trying to get to Nottingham on time for his debut for the club, in their Auto Windscreens Shield tie against Hull City, getting stuck in traffic for three hours on the A42 from Wolverhampton. He finally arrived, a little flustered and stressed out, only to discover that the match had been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Then, on Saturday, he made a promising debut for County, helping them recover from a two goal deficit at home to Preston. With just a minute to go he was substituted, receiving an ovation from the crowd, who were pleased with his efforts, but he'd hardly sat himself down on the bench when Preston scored a 90th minute winner. Notts County, apparently, are hoping to make the Cork man's move to Meadow Lane permanent but after the week he's had with the club he must be wondering if that would be such a good thing.
