Nigel Greensall powered his Tyrrell-Judd to victory before a capacity crowd of over 20,000 in the RAC Super Prix at Mondello Park yesterday. A first-lap spin eliminated last year's winner Ron Cummings, and Tony Worswick in a Jordan-Judd led until the halfway mark. Worswick then spun and handed the lead over to Greensall who had actually started from the pit lane.

Warswick finished second ahead of Dublin's, Sarah Kanvanagh in another JordanJudd, with Rob Gray, and Duncan Gray following. The opening race for Stryker sports cars was won by Jonathan Taylor and the concurrently-run Italian saloon race was won by Liam Denning. Peter Duke won the Formula Opel race from Jason Pollock and Ken Grandon.
