St Brendan's Killarney 3-7 St Patrick's, Navan 0-10 THREE well-taken goals proved the difference between a dominant St Brendan's, Killarney, side and a battling St Patrick's, Navan outfit in the senior colleges A football semi- final in Nenagh, yesterday.
St Brendan’s Chris O’Leary scored two first-half goals, the first from a penalty, which saw the Munster champions lead by 2-5 to 0-3 at the break.
St Pat’s were again rocked early in the second half after corner forward Jeff O’Donoghue netted with aplomb but instead of heralding another purple patch for the Munster champions it led to a concerted St Patrick’s fightback, which just fell short.
The late sending off of Shane Barry did not help the Meath school’s hopes.
