WICKLOW SHC FINAL: Glenealy 2-13, Carnew 0-9: THE COUNTY title changed hands yet again at Aughrim yesterday as Glenealy defeated their arch-rivals and defending champions before 1,500 spectators.
Thomas Doyle was inspirational for “the reds” at wing forward but it was dual star Leighton Glynn who delivered the crucial sucker punches that floored Carnew.
Lining out at wing forward a week after powering Rathnew to the county football title after scoring 2-2 for the Village, Glynn finished with exactly the same tally for the Reds.
Carnew midfielder Seánie Kinsella was sent off on a second yellow on 42 minutes.
