Glenmalure members could have more cause than most to celebrate the Millennium. The members are in the process of closing a deal to buy the club for £650,000, making the members sole owners. However, before closing the deal they are hoping to attract 20 new members.

Paddy Dunne, the incoming captain of the Glenmalure said: "We are offering 20 new memberships at an entrance fee of £2,308 which will include the first year's subscription. And if members want to move on they can sell their shares back at a later date." Glenmalure was opened in 1992 and has 300 members.
