AMERICAN FOOTBALL NEWS:THE NEW York Giants remained one of two undefeated teams in the National Football League by routing the Seattle Seahawks 44-6, their largest margin of victory in a regular-season game in 36 years.

Eli Manning completed 19 of 25 passes for 267 yards, including scores to Domenik Hixon and Sinorice Moss, before being replaced in the fourth quarter on Sunday with the Giants up 37-6 in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

New York scored on their first six possessions, gained 523 yards of offence and didn't punt until the third quarter.

The defending Super Bowl champion Giants are 4-0 and off to their best start since 1990, when they won their first 10 games en route to an NFL title.

The Giants came into the game as one of three unbeaten teams. Tennessee (5-0) beat the Baltimore Ravens 13-10, while Buffalo (4-1) fell to Arizona 41-17.

The Baltimore Ravens suffered their second last-minute defeat in six days, after last week losing a 10-point lead in the second half against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and it turned out Tennessee also had some late-game magic for the Ravens on Sunday, courtesy of quarterback Kerry Collins.

The Arizona Cardinals ended the Buffalo Bills' unbeaten start to the season with a surprisingly easy victory on Sunday.

Buffalo completed all but three plays without starting quarterback Trent Edwards, who suffered a concussion early in the game and did not return. He was replaced by JP Losman.

Arizona paved the way for victory by scoring on their first three possessions.
