Schools Rugby/St Gerard's College 46, Templeogue College 0: A plum tie with Terenure College awaits St Gerard's after their seven-try demolition of Templeogue at Kilternan yesterday.

After two gruelling clashes with Skerries, Templeogue had their problems in the lineout but they did put it up to their Bray opponents in the first half.

But they were playing catch up from the third minute when from a short pass from Alan Power, Simon Nelson made his way over in the corner.

While Templeogue were struggling in the lineouts, St Gerard's maximised on their possession with Irish Schools trialist Zach Desmond prominent. The number eight went over to the right of the posts on 13 minutes with Kyle Tonetti converting.

The outhalf was quite busy after that and twice breached the line to extend his team's lead.Also included in his 17 points tally from the first half were a penalty and a conversion.

That left it at 27-0 at the interval and things did not improve for Templeogue with Desmond, Simon Campbell and Burschi Wojnar all crossing the line after the break.
