MUNSTER SFC SEMI-FINAL UCC (Cork) 5-12 Moyle Rovers (Tipperary) 1-5:UCC, INSPIRED by Kerry native Paul Geaney, demolished Tipperary representatives Moyle Rovers by 19 points in a facile semi-final at the Clonmel Sportsfield.

Yesterday, UCC lined out with eight Kerry natives, six from Cork and Roscommon’s centre back Niall Daly. And the gulf in class proved embarrassing in the end as the Sigerson Cup holders set up a final meeting with Dr Crokes of Kerry on December 4th.

Corner forward Geaney was simply brilliant during the 44 minutes he was on the pitch, scoring 2-5 and setting up Stephen O’Brien for the second of his two goals, which arrived in the 35th minute. Impressive full forward Gavin O’Grady scored five points.

UCC were utterly dominant at midfield and a full-forward line comprised of three Kerrymen combined to score 4-11.
