Garrett Cotter will miss the ride on Roundwood in Monday's Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse. His appeal against the decision of the Downpatrick stewards to suspend him for four days for excessive use of the whip when winning on Donaghmore Lady on March 24th was dismissed by the appeals and referrals committee at the Turf Club yesterday. The suspension starts tomorrow.
Terry Mitchell was also out of luck with his appeal against the decision of the Leopardstown stewards on March 21st to suspend him for seven days for insufficient effort following the running of the Cabinteely Maiden Hurdle, in which he partnered Balizac.
