SIGERSON CUP UUJ 1-16 Cork IT 0-4:TYRONE'S MATTHEW Donnelly bagged six points for UUJ as they registered the biggest win of yesterday's opening round at Newcastle, Co Dublin.
The Jordanstown outfit were in strong form throughout to claim the only victory of the day for an Ulster side.
The 2009 champions Cork IT failed to score between the 21st and 52nd minutes, registering one second-half point.
In contrast, Adrian McGuckin’s charges had seven players on target in this 15-point victory.
UUJ led by 0-9 to 0-3 at half-time, with Cork duo Ciarán Sheehan and Donal Óg Hodnett along with Kerry’s Barry John Walsh claiming scores for CIT.
The only goal arrived 20 seconds after the restart from Conor McManus to firmly kill off any hope of a CIT challenge.

Sheehan battled hard for CIT but the only second-half score for Keith Ricken’s charges came from substitute Noel Galvin eight minutes from time.
