Formula Europa and Formula Ford Zetec championship races top the bill at Mondello Park on Sunday.
Vivion Daly, Philip Kehoe and Gavin Smith are the three leading contenders for Europa honours. In the Zetec series, championship leader Alan Ring (Castleisland) will again face strong competition from George McAlpin (Portrush), Paul Dagg (Drogheda), John O'Hara (Donadea) and up-and-coming drivers Robbie Coleman (Cork), Ian Newport (Portadown) and Philip Kershaw (Brittas, Co Dublin).
In Formula Vee, Brian Hearty of Dundalk will no doubt be the pace setter, strongly challenged by Kirkistown Festival winner and reigning British champion Ray Moore (Dublin), Paul Newport (Bettystown) and Paul Heavey (Kilmeague, Co Kildare).
Jonathan Fildes (Clonsilla), the Dunlop Stryker Championship leader, is aiming for his fourth win of the season. He leads on 145 points from Ralph Crampton (132) and his uncle Robert Taylor (109). The Dunlop RT2000's will also be out, in which the points standings are: Jonathan Taylor 120; John Keaney and John Whelan 102 each. Also in the packed programme are championship races for Yokahama Uno and Yokahama Italian saloons.
With three wins and a second, Monaghan's Niall Maguire, accompanied by Anthony Nestor (Limerick) on the pace notes, is fast becoming uncatchable in the National Rally Championship. Maguire in his Subaru Legacy is the number one seed in Sunday's Circuit of Munster, run out of Adare over 3x3 stages at Shanid Castle, Ballyahill and Shanagolden with service in Foynes Village.
Also entered are John Gilleece, Michael Barrable, Frank O`Mahony, John McCluskey, Ray Breen, Hal Lewis, Ed Synan, Oliver O'Donovan, Tommy Graham, Dermot Kelly, Johnny O'Sullivan, Vincent O'Shea and Denis Cronin.
