A bodyguard of a top Greek football federation official literally shot himself in the foot following the 2-0 victory by Olympiakos at AEK Athens. The man fired shots in the air in an attempt to protect Victoras Mitropoulos, who was besieged by supporters because of what they believed was poor refereeing for awarding a penalty to Olympiakos. However, police reacted by grabbing his gun and in the ensuing scuffle he shot his own foot.
