Saffron Waldon's Guineas success perked up the Ballydoyle season at Group One international level but there has been no doubting Aidan O'Brien's numerical dominance at home, and that point can be emphasised with a clean sweep of Tipperary's flat races this evening.

That dominance can be judged by O'Brien having 23 per cent of the 47 horses remaining in next month's Irish Derby at the latest forfeit stage.

Marius Petipa is one of the Ballydoyle 11 left in and he should break his duck in tonight's Roscrea Maiden.

The Nureyev colt understandably faded to third last in Saturday's Guineas but before that was placed twice behind Major Force, including when third in the Tetrarch. That's a level of form far better than any of this opposition have shown.

At what is a relatively moderate Thursday evening fixture, O'Brien's colleagues could be forgiven for rising a white flag considering the breeding of those they have to beat.

Peach Out Of Reach, by Sadler's Wells out of Cocotte, looks to have the edge in the Golden Race against Serena and the Dundalk winner, Lucky Gem, whose form has been boosted by Union Project.

In the five-furlong maiden, O'Brien unveils a Mr Prospector colt called Finnan, who is impossible to oppose when looking at the sparkling form of the Ballydoyle juveniles so far.

Over the jumps, the maiden hurdle has been divided to give an eight-race card, and while Nazmi is a speculative choice in the second division, the Thurles bumper winner, Native Man, should prove hard to beat in the first part.

A charity race is being organised for Navan on June 12th in aid of the Cappagh Orthopaedic Hospital, which has embarked on a nationwide fundraising appeal.
