Leinster A 5 Plymouth Albion 10 (Match abandoned after 26 minutes):THE LIGHTS literally went out on Leinster's plan to make it two wins out of two in the British Irish Cup at Skerries RFC last night.
Plymouth selected five Irishmen to start with another on the bench and they made the most of their first foray into the danger zone when centre Steve Johns skipped through Leinster’s soft centre for a try which Mark Lee converted in the fourth minute.
Leinster returned to playing the game at a high-tempo. Swift work down the left flank ended with number eight Stephen Keogh going over in the corner to reduce the gap to two points before Plymouth full-back Lee added a 24th minute penalty. Not long after the floodlights ceased to work. A delay turned into a postponement to today, thanks to co-operation between the two clubs and officials, in Greystones RFC’s Dr Hickey Park at 2pm.
