Waterford Utd - 1 UCD - 1 UCD outplayed Waterford United for long periods at the RSC last night and seemed destined to record only their second win before the home side's blushes were saved by an injury-time equaliser from Wayne Fitzgerald.
UCD took the lead four minutes into the second half. Goalkeeper Dan Connor deflected a Robert Martin shot for a corner, and, when the defence failed to clear Hugh Davy's corner, Alan McNally drilled home from the edge of the area.
UCD were reduced to 10 men on 58 minutes when Mick O'Donnell received a second yellow card.
