Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson is aiming for victory at one of racing's biggest occasions as he seeks to make amends for his team's failure to win a trophy this season.
Lucky Ferguson has prospects of lifting a prize at Royal Ascot next month with his first racehorse, Queensland Star, after the colt's victory at Chester yesterday.
No doubt, it will help to allay some of the disappointment over United's failure in the Premiership and Europe.
Queensland Star, a winner on his debut at Newmarket last month, stamped himself as one of the best juveniles seen so far when making all in the Joseph Heler Lily Agnes Stakes.
He never looked likely to be caught, keeping on well in the closing stages to defeat Golden Silca by one length.
Ironically, Queensland Star is trained by Leeds supporter Jack Berry, who attended Old Trafford last night to see his team go down 3-0 to the former champions.
"Alex told me he wouldn't be able to make it today. He is busy - he does have another job to worry about you know," Berry said yesterday.
"But I do think Queensland Star will be able to go to Royal Ascot. When he gets to the front he tends to idle and I'm sure he will have the stamina for six furlongs."
