Brother and sister combination Kevin Rogers (Island) and Bridie Stenson (Swords) won the Clontarf Open Mixed Foursomes, sponsored by Chapman's Volvo, for the second time in three years when they beat Colm McGuinness (Beaverstown) and Dympna O'Riordan (Westmanstown) in an exciting final on Saturday.

The field this year was trimmed to 32 pairs with a maximum handicap of 34. There were high hopes of a home success when three Clontarf combinations reached the quarter-finals on Friday night, but they were all beaten before the final green.
