Fallon just keeps on winning

Kieren Fallon carried on his good Hong Kong run by scoring aboard Supreme Universe at Happy Valley yesterday. But the Irishman failed to make an impact in the Hong Kong International Riders' Championship - won by Olivier Peslier - later in the card.

Fallon was seen at his best as he brought Supreme Universe with a strong run to take the Hong Kong Football Club Centenary Challenge Cup by a head. The jockey has now ridden three winners in Hong Kong since commencing a three month contract on December 1st.

In the International Championship series Fallon finished eighth with three points. His best effort was a fourth in the third and final race of the competition on Dance Detail.

Olivier Peslier, triumphant in an international jockeys' competition in Japan last Sunday, again reigned supreme. The French rider collected two wins and a third to score 28 points. Meanwhile, Mick Kinane will ride in all three Hong Kong International races at Sha Tin on Sunday. The Irish rider had been resigned to sitting out the Group 2 International Vase owing to the absence due to injury of Luso but he will now ride Multi-Star.

Kinane's other mounts are the respective German and North American runners, Artan (International Cup) and Oh Nellie (International Bowl).
