KIERAN FALLON was suspended for six days at Thirsk yesterday after being found guilty of irresponsible riding on Clarkenwell in the Sowerby Maiden.

Fallon barged his way out approaching the two furlong marker, interfering with third placed Nayib before finishing second on the odds on favourite, who failed by a neck to beat the front running Benaton.

The stewards held a lengthy inquiry and ordered the placings of Clarkenwell and Nayib to be reversed and suspended Fallon from April 29th to May 4th inclusive, which means he will miss two of the three days of the Guineas meeting at Newmarket.

Fallon, who had earlier gained a pillar to post win on Golden Pound in the Briton Maiden, had no comment to make about his ban.
