Kieren Fallon yesterday lodged an appeal against the ban meted out by the Ayr stewards on Thursday which has ruled him out of the Vodafone Derby.
The officials at Ayr found him guilty of irresponsible riding of a minor nature on third-placed Distinctive Dream and banned him for three days (June 9th, 10th and 11th).
Fallon had the choice of riding either of Michael Stoute's pair, ante-post favourite Golan or Dante Stakes winner Dilshaan at Epsom.
