The question people ask is which of the varied Kafelnikov's are currently on court. In the mood he is best-equipped to win on grass, having a strong all-round game and a big serve. A proven Grand Slam record and if he gets his head together correctly he can beat anyone in the world.
Richard Krajicek

A big hitter with an equally big mouth. Was castigated a few years ago for commenting on the physique of female players many of whom he believed were overweight. With a thunderous serve, he has to be formidable on grass. But so are the others so the rest of his game will have to be burning hot to survive to the last weekend.
Tim Henman
Born: England - September 6th, 1974
Plays: Right-handed
World ranking: 6

The best chance in many years for an English player to win the competition. Beaten by Sampras in the final of the warm-up Stella Artois tournament, Henman's main obstacle could be the pressure placed on him by the ever-hopeful fans. Has the right game for Wimbledon though and Sampras has already acknowledged he is the biggest threat to him in the draw.
Patrick Rafter

He hasn't won a singles title in the 1999 season but is never far off and as US Open champion certainly has the big-occasion mentality. Widely acknowledged as having a very balanced approach, he could be the person best able to combine his game and his mind for a first Wimbledon victory.
Pete Sampras

Plays: Right-handed
World Ranking: 1

Always the one to beat. At every tournament, the players see the Sampras name and know he is the principle hurdle. He has won over $36 million and is the most successful player to step onto a grass court. Given his win at Stella Artois, he is also on form. The other players won't like that at all.
