Has played quite well this summer without being spectacular and most of his opponents have tried to take him out from the edge of the square where they feel he's not at his most comfortable. But he has done well there also, even if he has been that bit happier around the goals."

Has a good football brain and knows how to create space but he'll have to move out from the goal because otherwise he will have major difficulty winning any possession if this becomes a direct, close to goal confrontation."

On Darren Fay. . ."Has to be regarded as the outstanding full back in the country at the moment. Has such physical presence, matched with power and pace and his man-marking is of the highest quality. He is at his best as close to goal as possible but I feel his opponents know that they would not survive standing toe-to-toe and Davis will make every effort to pull him away from the goalmouth area."
