MARY REVELEY can improve her fine recent record at Kelso by taking the Croall Bryson Handicap Hurdle today. Mrs Reveley has been comfortably the best trainer at the track in the past five years, with more than 40 winners at a strike-rate of nearly one in three in that period.
Erzadjan has already done his bit to bolster the stable's Kelso record with victory here last month, hardly coming off the bridle to score by 21/2 lengths from Stash the Cash.
And he showed that effort was no flash in the pan with an equally authoritative success at Uttoxeter last time, eased considerably on the run-in yet still nine lengths clear of Karar at the line.
Erzadjan is clearly a fast-improving hurdler, well ahead of the handicapper at present. He can defy an 8lb rise in the weights today to make it three wins from three completed starts this term.
Hedley Mill is worth another chance in the Charlie Brown Scottish Champion Hunters' Chase. The eight-year-old looked poised to deliver a winning challenge at Doncaster last time when he was badly hampered at the second-last fence and his jockey knocked out of the saddle.
Victory would nave been no surprise after the gelding's two impressive wins in point-to-points this year and he can gain his biggest win under rules to date here.
Jim Culloty can further his bid for the amateur riders' title with victory on Minster's Madam in the Axminster Weavers Mares Only Selling Handicap Hurdle at Exeter.
