Richard Dunwoody is unlikely to return to action tomorrow following scans taken on a neck injury yesterday afternoon.

"Richard had scans taken and the doctor is going to look at the results," the rider's agent Robert Parsons revealed yesterday.

"Initially Richard thought it was his shoulder but he keeps getting these niggling pains in his neck."

Dunwoody, who has been on the sidelines since May 8th, had hoped to resume at Worcester.

The British Horseracing Board yesterday revealed that Sunday racing has been a lot stronger in 1998. With the first three days of this year's Sunday programme completed it is clear that the boost to prize money and the offer of substantial appearance money is having a marked effect upon competitiveness.
