Richard Dunwoody yesterday declared his availability to ride Imperial Call in the King George VI Chase if the former Gold Cup winner travels to Kempton for the St Stephen's Day feature.

Imperial Call's trainer Raymond Hurley has already indicated his preference for Dunwoody after Paul Carberry said that he was unavailable and with Conor O'Dwyer's suspension still in place.

Yesterday Dunwoody said: "I would certainly love to ride Imperial Call if he comes over to England. I have not heard from the owners but I am not committed to anything else in the race."

A final decision on who will ride the 1996 Gold Cup winner is likely to be made tomorrow.
