DUBLIN'S two GAA managers Mickey Whelan and Michael O'Grady will get an unseasonal opportunity to assess the well being of their respective squads when the annual "Blue Stars" tournament matches are staged at the Kilmacud Crokes grounds in Glenalbyn tomorrow.

Many of the players likely to participate in Dublin's quest for glory in 1997 will emerge briefly from winter hibernation to participate in the matches which also give a number of fringe players an opportunity to impress. The hurling match takes place at 1.00 p.m. and the football game has a 2.15 p.m. throw in.
