Dublin manager Tom Carr's first National Football League selection has reached an accommodation with county champions Erin's Isle by selecting two of the club's players and leaving another two on the bench. The Isle have an All-Ireland semi-final with Castlehaven on Sunday week but had made all their players available; Carr has reciprocated by resting Mick Deegan and Robbie Boyle, although they may put in an appearance at some stage of the Section C match with Monaghan.

Keith Barr, at wing back, and Ciaran O'Hare at corner forward start in what is a predictable enough line-out with the possible exception of the omission of Brian Stynes, whose form has recently dipped. Paul Bealin has not fully recovered from a groin injury, so Ciaran Whelan and Darren Homan form a new midfield pairing. Dessie Farrell returns for his first match of the campaign at centre forward.
