A NEAR FULL STRENGTH Dublin team played out an energetic draw with Armagh in a senior football challenge at Santry Avenue last night.

In a tough game, Dublin's Charlie Redmond top scored with eight points, six of which came from frees. Jason Sherlock chipped in with 1-1, while wing forward Jim Gavin contributed three points from play. Armagh's full forward line proved a real threat, contributing nine points of the Ulster team's total.

The game's closing minutes provided some genuine drama as Dublin pegged back a three point deficit, Redmond hitting the equalising point.

. Dublin and Meath are likely to share up to 50,000 of the 65,000 tickets to be put on sale for the Leinster championship first round double header at Croke Park on Sunday fortnight. Wicklow and Offaly or Westmeath open the double bill.
