A 10-man Drogheda capped a remarkable night at United Park with a winner in the final minute to secure their first home league win of the season.
Having wiped out a two-goal deficit, Drogheda's chances of snatching all three points looked slim when Alan Murphy received his marching orders 12 minutes from the finish. But Stephen Roche, who was only on the pitch a matter of minutes, burst through the visiting defence to slot calmly past goalkeeper Brian McKenna.
Harps took the lead after two minutes when James Mulligan rammed home a penalty and then Mulligan put the visitors 2-0 up in the 10th minute.
A Greg O'Dowd goal within a minute of the restart started the Drogheda comeback and Darren O'Keeffe equalised 16 minutes from the end.
