ANTRIM SHC FINAL/Dunloy 3-14 Cushendall 1-13:THREE MIRACULOUS saves and a penalty goal was goalkeeper Gareth McGhee's magnificent contribution to Dunloy's victory in yesterday's final at Casement.
The new champions were fully intent on taking the crown from Cushendall’s head. Paddy Richmond netted in the ninth minute to put Dunloy 1-2 to 0-3 ahead and, seven minutes later, McGee slammed home a penalty shot after Richmond was upended.
A third goal by Darren Quinn two minutes into injury-time left Dunloy 3-6 to 0-7 up at the break.
Both teams missed penalties in the second half and, though Cushendall rallied, Dunloy still finished much the stronger.
