Renowned Golf Masters manager Paul Sheehan tends to use players' lingo to name his various teams. "Bite baby", "Looks good", "Be right" and "That'll play" have all featured on our leaderboards this year. Thank God we haven't had the dreaded "Good as a good one" which is code for "lousy shot, but you got away with it".
What about "Cold day in Hell" who currently lie 43rd on the overall leaderboard? Perhaps Sheehan had thoughts of his charges spending a lot of time in the fearsome bunker on the 14th at St Andrews. That would mean a meagre return from the double Golf Masters money on offer at this week's British Open although there would still be time to recover.
Following St Andrews there are eight further weeks and 15 tournaments on our schedule including another major and a bonus event. The West of Ireland Open has been moved to Slieve Russell and renamed the North West of Ireland Open but to all intents and purposes is the same tournament on the original dates and it will still count towards our rankings.
It runs opposite the USPGA and Wentworth officials call it a double badge event with earnings counting towards both the Challenge Tour and European Tour money lists.
For us it will be quadruple bonus time with £400,000 on offer to an Irish winner.
