Kildare and Westmeath must meet again to decide which side goes through to the Leinster Under-21 championship semi-final following their drawn encounter - 0-9 to 0-9 - at Newbridge yesterday. An injury-time free converted by Westmeath's Des Dolan insured that the game ended in deadlock and the sides were level five times during the course of the game.

On Saturday, Dublin came from behind to earn a draw against Longford in their quarterfinal clash at Pearse Park. Down at half-time, Dublin used the wind to get back in the game, eventually going ahead with the points of Niall Crossan before Longford's Paul Barden forced the replay with a 58th minute free. Leinster champions Laois progressed comfortably with a 2-12 to 0-9 win over Louth at Portalaoise on Saturday.
