A SHIELD bearing the shoes of Frankie Dettori's seven winners received a valuation of nearly £30,000 from spread betting specialists Sporting Index yesterday.
Put together by trainer David Nicholson, it is to be auctioned at next Thursday's Racehorse Owners Association Ball in London to raise money for the Stable Lads Welfare Trust.
Sporting Index expect the plaque, which comprises one shoe from each horse to win at Ascot on September 28th, to attract considerable bidding interest and priced up a market on how much it will raise.
It has set the spread at 26-29(000s) with a maximum make up of £50,000 and will donate any monies made to the Stable Lads Welfare Trust.
